Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 27, 2025
Summary: We collect your email address when you purchase a license. That's it. We don't track you, we don't sell your data, and we don't send marketing emails unless you explicitly opt in.
What we collect
When you purchase a license
We collect your email address to deliver your license key. This is stored in our database as a simple email-to-license-key mapping. We don't collect names, addresses, phone numbers, or any other personal information beyond what's required for the transaction.
Payment information
Payment processing is handled by Paddle.com. We never see or store your credit card information, billing address, or other payment details. Paddle processes this information according to their privacy policy, available at paddle.com/legal/privacy.
What we don't collect
- No analytics or tracking pixels on our website
- No usage data from the plugin itself
- No telemetry or crash reports
- No cookies beyond what's required for the payment processor
- No device fingerprinting or identification
- No marketing profiles or behavioral data
How we use your information
Your email address is used for:
- License delivery: Sending you your license key after purchase
- License validation: Verifying your license key when you activate the software
- Essential communications: Critical product updates or security notices (rare)
We will never:
- Sell, rent, or share your email with third parties
- Send you marketing emails unless you explicitly opt in
- Use your email for any purpose beyond license management
- Build user profiles or track your behavior
Data storage and security
Your email and license key are stored in a secure database. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect this information, though no method of electronic storage is 100% secure.
We retain your email-to-license-key mapping for as long as your license is active. If you request deletion, we'll remove your email from our database, though this will invalidate your license.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of the data we have about you (your email and license key)
- Deletion: Request deletion of your data from our database
- Correction: Request correction of any inaccurate data
- Portability: Request your data in a machine-readable format
To exercise any of these rights, email us at privacy@enzymetech.io.
DRM and activation
grooveDNA uses simple email-based activation. When you activate the software, it verifies your license key against our database. This requires a one-time internet connection. After activation, the software works offline indefinitely.
We don't implement restrictive DRM, phone-home requirements, or usage monitoring. Your license covers all your machines and operating systems.
Third-party services
Paddle: Handles payment processing and is our merchant of record. They collect payment information according to their privacy policy.
We don't use analytics services, advertising networks, social media integrations, or any other third-party tracking tools.
International users
Our services are available globally. By using our software, you consent to the transfer of your email address to our servers, which may be located in different jurisdictions than your own.
Changes to this policy
We'll update this policy if our data practices change. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect any modifications. We'll notify users of significant changes via email.
Children's privacy
Our services are not directed to individuals under 16. We don't knowingly collect data from children.
